PROFITABILITY IN LEAN TIMES
This Finnish multi-national manufacturer faced challenges in adoption of a new company culture after growing through acquisition. It was experiencing paper-thin margins across its network of production facilities in the Americas and Europe.
With competition continually investing in multi-million dollar process lines or off-shoring production, Korina was brought in to provide a new business plan for the aging business segment, representing 80% of revenues.
In collaborating with both European and American facilities, a through assessment of processes with a focus on costs was carried out. Findings included disparate and inconsistent processes leading to higher costs and lowered efficiencies. The Korina team was able to deliver a sound business plan encompassing culture, sales strategy and operational cost reduction projects.

TRANSFORMING START-UP
The challenge of lighting the world is an honorable ambition. Leveraging the power of the sun, this San Francisco based organization needed to transform from being backed from funding and venture capitalists to one backed by profits at its base of operations in Tanzania. Over 50,000 locals a month depend on the company to provide clean, efficient, energy as a replacement for kerosene.
With any developing organization, challenges came in the from of client delivery, culture, value and business strategy. In a country where new roads are being developed every day and payment is through a mobile device, not only did this company need to be nimble, but also have the forethought in being predictive instead of reactive.
Bringing in Korina, we were able to provide solutions onsite through last-mile distribution along with a corporate strategy that would keep the innovation coming while still increasing user-base and brand awareness.
